Martin Fahnauer has 15 years of experience in the financial services industry and is focused on Financial and Professional Services clients. He relies on his consulting capabilities, market and industry knowledge, as well as his expertise in strategy, digitization, and transformation topics.

After completing his studies in International Business in Maastricht, he began his career in the Wealth Management division of UBS Deutschland AG. This was followed by almost nine years of management and strategy consulting, most recently as a Senior Manager in KPMG’s FS practice Strategy & Management Consulting.

Martin has led engagements focusing on strategic issues, such as defining digitization strategies and target operating models, and crafting the transformation roadmaps behind these strategies. In addition to his core role, he was actively involved in corporate development activities, specifically key account management and recruitment. In these capacities, interviewing candidates and hosting assessment center days were integral parts. His role as a line manager also allowed him to mentor and coach consultants.

Since joining Alek Montalbetti’s team in March 2021, Martin has primarily focused on strategy and management consulting mandates (cross-industry) and Banking, especially in wealth management. In January 2023, Martin was appointed Managing Director.

Martin grew up in an international environment and is fluent in German and English. He is married and is a father to three children. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf and tennis.
